The Bolton Hotel Named Finalist in 2010 HM Awards
The Bolton Hotel was announced as a finalist in the “New Zealand Best Hotel” category of the 2010 HM Awards on Tuesday. The Bolton will be compared to hotels around New Zealand for the title of “Best Hotel” named by the HM Awards judges. Results will be named at the HM Awards ceremony on September 3 in Sydney.
The HM Awards celebrate excellence in hotel accommodation and management among hotels in the Australian, New Zealand and Oceanic region. Winners of the awards of the 42 categories, ranging from Best Hotel Management to New Hotel of the Year, are determined by a panel of industry judges. The Bolton’s nomination for NZ Best Hotel is a first for the hotel.
The Bolton Hotel is Wellington’s only New Zealand owned and operated boutique five star Qualmark rated hotel. The Bolton Hotel has consistently been rated as the number one or two hotel in Wellington over the last three years on Trip Advisor web 2.0 channel.
The Bolton is located in Wellington central city and caters to a variety of clients from around the world. The hotel includes a gourmet restaurant Bisque, 142 well appointed rooms, unique catering and amenities as well as an environmentally-sound operations approach.

Bolton Hotel to Walk the Red Carpet as Finalist in New Zealand’s Coveted Tourism Awards
The Bolton Hotel has been announced as a finalist in the Accommodation category of the prestigious 2010 Tourism Industry Association of New Zealand (TIANZ) Awards. Prime Minister, and Minister of Tourism, John Key will attend the Tourism Industry Awards New Zealand Ceremony in Auckland on Thursday 14 October.
The TIANZ Awards this year celebrates excellence and innovation. The TIANZ Awards are the New Zealand’s most prestigious tourism awards with hundreds of entries from 14 regions having been narrowed down to 34 finalists.
The Bolton Hotel will compete against many other New Zealand hotels for the Accommodation award. The only other Wellington nominee to join The Bolton Hotel is YHA Wellington. The Bolton Hotel has earned a nomination for its commitment to innovation through its “BrainFood” concept, a creative menu specifically designed to increase mental attention, engagement and concentration levels of those attending work functions or offsites, their recent “Raising the Standard” online cooking tutorials with Bisque on Bolton’s chef Steve Morris which currently features on Stuff.co.nz, the addition of the Residence Suite which is considered the premiere hotel room in Wellington, and the hotel’s active presence in the social media community using Twitter and Facebook.

We always try to think differently about what we can offer our guests as well as challenge the status quo.
