Brainfood Conference Catering at Bolton Hotel in Wellington

Brainfood

Bisque on Bolton has taken work functions and event catering to the next level with its brainfood menu, specifically designed to increase mental attention, engagement and concentration levels of those attending events, seminars or workshops at the Bolton Hotel.

After extensive research and under the guidance of Executive Chef Steve Morris, Functions Chef Sarah Harris has developed a purpose-built brainfood menu that will stimulate neural pathways of attendees keeping them mentally alert and sustained throughout a session, event or day.

Sarah says, “Poor concentration and low energy levels can lead to people having a negative experience of your event and little return for the organisers involved. Often it’s just a sign that the ingredients in their last meal have not sustained them enough.”

“You are what you eat and that includes your brain. Your brain is the greediest organ in your body. Even though it only makes up 2% of our body weight, it uses up to 25% of your total body glucose level, as well as 20% of our blood and oxygen levels, so what you eat can significantly influence how well you think and how long you can sustain concentration for.”

The Bisque on Bolton brainfood menu is designed for collaboration with event organisers. It explains the positive affects brainfood ingredients will have on attendees, so they can design their very own menu around the concentration levels their itinerary demands.

“At the end of the day we want to make sure your group get maximum benefit from the information they are digesting – not just the food.”
